Introducing our new priest:
Rev. Dr. Lois Williams Born and raised in New Jersey, Lois Williams came to California with her daughter Constance in 1999. Lois has a background as a veterinary technician for both large and small animals that includes showing and racing horses and professional pet grooming. Raised to ordination by Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in San Francisco she was ordained to the deaconate in 2011 and priesthood in 2012. She is a graduate of CDSP, 2008 and received her doctorate in Pastoral Ministry and Counseling from San Francisco Theological Seminary in 2015. At present she continues to advise doctoral students for SFTS. Lois currently resides in Vallejo and works for Sutter Care at Home Hospice serving Alameda and Solano counties as an APC Board Certified Chaplain since 2012 inspired by being a cancer survivor. Currently she is the Veteran “champion” liaison for Sutter Alameda having done her chaplaincy internship at VA in Palo Alto. It is her future goal to assist the Diocese in gaining more insight into the ordination of future Episcopal chaplains. She is also a Reiki Master and Healing Hands practitioner and is a self-described mystic. Lois has been serving the Diocese of California and Northern California as a supply priest since ordination. She is also available for loss, grief and bereavement counseling. Her passions are animals, yoga, meditation, reading, and writing. At present she has one fiction novel and several professional articles and book reviews published. |
